After clicking the Add or Edit buttons from the main Manage Users tab, the Edit User Information dialog will be displayed.
User Login Name |
The User Login Name is the account name that the the client application will use when accessing the Apollo Database Server. This value is forced to upper-case. |
Password |
The Password value is the password associated with the the User Login Name (above) that the client application will use when accessing the Apollo Database Server. This value is case-sensitive. So, the passwords secret , Secret, SeCrEt, and SECRET are all seen as unique passwords by the Apollo Database Server. |
First Name and Last Name |
The First Name and Last Name fields are optional and are only made available to help identify who the users are when multiple different users are added. If multiple users will all connect using the same account name and password, then you would probably not need this information. |
Level |
The Level field currently supports two levels of security User and Administrator. Only user accounts with Administrator rights may log into the Apollo Server Manager. |
OK Button |
Saves the additions/changes to the user account entry and makes the new user account available immediately to any client applications. |
Cancel Button |
Cancels any additions or edits that have not yet been saved. |
