HiPer-SIx File Formats

Introduced with the HiPer-SIx RDD for CA-Clipper in 1993, the HiPer-SIx index file formats (.NSX) are the smallest and fastest overall index format supported by Apollo.

As with FoxPro .CDX and dBASE IV .MDX index formats, .NSX index files are compound (can contain multiple index orders or "tags").

The HiPer-SIx memo file format (.SMT) is also a bit smaller and faster format than the FoxPro .FPT memo format.

HiPer-SIx tables (.DBF) are standard dBASE tables.
