If you are developing CD-based Apollo applications and experience problems opening read-only files on a CD, check that the Archive attribute is not be set on the data files located on your CD.

This problem commonly affects Windows NT and Windows 2000 based machines. Windows 98 supports this behaviour, so if the application will be deployed to many users, remove the Archive attribute upon burning the CD.
